How we work.

What we will and won’t do

We accept advertising and sponsored content. We do not accept payment for editorial reviews. If a hotel or restaurant comps us a meal or a stay, we disclose it inline at the top of the piece.

Sponsored content is always visually distinct: a gold double-rule, the ✦ Sponsored mark, the sponsor's name, and the words Paid partnership. It will never look like an editorial review.

Translation & republishing

Short-form content from Xiaohongshu, WeChat, and Instagram is occasionally translated and republished here with full credit to the original author and a link back to the source post. Every translation goes through a human editorial pass — we never auto-publish AI output.

If you're the original author and want your work removed, email editor@macaoguide.com with the URL and we will remove it within 24 hours, no questions asked.

Affiliate links

We use affiliate links for hotel bookings (Booking.com, Agoda, Trip.com) and tickets. When a click leads to a purchase, we receive a small commission. The commission does not affect the price you pay or our editorial recommendation.
